OPEN GARDEN DAY 2026
On Saturday 30th May, from 1.30 pm to 4.30 pm, we are holding our own OPEN GARDEN DAY at Winchmore Hill Meeting House.
A day to APPRECIATE the beauty of our garden and burial ground and learn more about it from our gardener Stephanie Davies.
To CELEBRATE the exterior renovations (new path way anenvd flexible exterior area…and new railings hopefully in place by then)!
To LEARN about the wider environmental benefits of PLANT BASED LIVING and how this is consistent with QUAKER VALUES.
To engage with the LOCAL COMMUNITY about our QUAKER PRESENCE and QUAKER VALUES and how these link with CARE OF OUR EARTH

After the end of all botanical life on Earth, ecologist Freeman Lowell (Bruce Dern) maintains a greenhouse on a space station in order to preserve various plants for future generations. Assisted by three robots and a small human crew, Lowell rebels when he is ordered to destroy the greenhouse in favour of carrying cargo, a decision that puts him at odds with everyone but his mechanical companions. Lowell and his robots are forced to do anything necessary to keep their invaluable greenery alive.
